A POSSIBLE BANKRUPTCY CASE

I’ve been dealing with this wholesale electrical supplier for my store for a few years now.  He’s usually given me a fair deal on outlets, sockets and plugs.  Last month I drove past the store and it looked like it was closed.  It was a weekday afternoon and it didn’t seem right.  When it came time for me to make another order from him, I decided that rather than call him up, I would pay a visit to him in person.  There’s a really cute little family restaurant just down the street from him that opened recently.  When I got to the door, John was there, but most of his inventory had been cleared from the shelves.  He greeted me and introduced me to a gentleman he said was his bankruptcy attorney, Mr. Turner.  I asked if this meant he was going out of business.  His reply was, “for the time being, until I can resolve my health problems.”  It’s really too bad.  I didn’t probe him for more details, but I have the sinking feeling that John’s health problems caused his business to go down and he was unable to handle the store on his own, at least not this past year.  The only other person I know that dealt with him was my home electrician, who was the person who originally recommended him to me.  For one thing, what with so much less manufacturing in this area, there seems less of a need for wholesale electrical parts.
